This is from the webcomic that I write, UC. The art is from jena.
And again, I think this one is spiffy. and after dregging through the catagories, i think these are in the right place. oh well. if they're not, i'm sure that i will hear about it.
Naim with strange wing-like-ear-things. . . Star is confused and intrigued. Do they give him extra good hearing abilities? And he has facial expression. *gasp* Expression of doom! No really, I does make him look oddly creepy.
Sorry. I shall try to refrain from fangirling. Suffice to say that this is now my background, and that I know you're going to go: no spoilers for you! if I ask about specifics.
I figure, that if someone really wants to know, and they have the guts to ask me specifically what they WANT to know, and they are willing to talk to me (even though i guess i come off as a little intimidating), then sure, i give away spoilers. especally in my gallery, or my library.
ans DOUBLE especally to those who write fanfiction. for you guys are my FAVORATEST people.
anyway, the ears have to do with his battle form. well...his FULL battle form. so they won't come into play for at least four chapters.
*eyes wide* And now the spikey thing his illusionary sky-double was holding makes so much more sense.
There's this shadowy idea of Naim forming in the back of my head from bits and pieces of information. It's. . . interesting, to say the least.
So okay. . . one thing I have been wanting to ask for a few weeks now. Nothing to do with Naim.
Is Jacob manipulative?
And here I would normally squak and beg you not to eat me, and try to go back and say manipulative is too strong of a word, and ect. and ect. I don't know why I'm not doing all of that. I'm just feeling pretty calm about this fact. Feels like I've gotten at least one definite hint. And if I'm totally wrong I'm pretty sure that the Jena thing has first dibs on eating me anyway. *shrug*
if i were to say "yes", i think it would play down on the fact that he is manipulative enough that people would ever realize he was. he has been taught, from a young age, that the only way you get things done is to make sure they are done the way you want them. anyway. yes. but even as i say that? he does actually care for our cute little goth boy. it's kind of a weakness thing. so, in a very roundabout way; jacob is manipulitive, but it's more of an art to him than a character flaw. or an addiction. he could stop at any time.
and? never feel the need to squeak and cower. at least when we are talking in a nice polite way. because what's the fun in curiosity, if the cat dies of a heart attack before it finds out what it was looking for?
I was still working under the fact that he cares for Nicodemus. Maybe I could be more subtle-ish and say "he has a knack for getting what he wants" or something like that.
Ah. At least now I don't have to worry about being eaten now. *nods* Sorry for the skittish behavior. I will not fear the Betsy-sama. Respect? Yes. Obviously. Fear? No. Starting to feel quite silly about that.
Meh. It happens. Jena is the happy/bouncing one of this pair. I am the one who wears the black and says the mean things. For the most part, it works. Occasionally, i'm all like "hey! i don't bite!", and then i remember that i might, and say something non-commital. So on a case by case basis, i'm all friendly and stuff. But the illusion still sticks around.
But Jacob? Still one of my favorate heartaches. For Nicodemus. I mean, I like Glory, but she's fairly silly. And the small crushes aren't really lasting. And someday, i wil finish editing the story of Jacob and Nicodemus meeting, and it will be fun. Silly college. Having me write papers.
Considering I've already said/done a few stupid things that would have earned me lectures from other people without getting bitten. . . Yeah. Obviously there is the need to form complete sentences and not act like an utter idiot around you. On the other side there is the thought that the whole shaky-fear thing is just not needed. Maybe I just have no survival instincts.
*sweatdrop* It could be bad that I'm attatched to Jacob when he hasn't even appeared in the comic yet. But. . . thing. . . He's just likeable. He has quicksand smile.
Glory? Now that I think of it she was mentioned in the piece of story-thing you did for Jacob and Nicodemus. *muses*
Survival instincts are overrated. Just like a healthy fear of cars crossing the street. It only tenses you up at the wrong times.
And hell. I don't think I can understate the fact that I love talking to people who are amused with people I thought up. Not to say that you've said anything with the smacking, and the hey hey, unless you were all like "now Betsy, Naim is a completly inhuman character, and i think he has no real drives" or "The amount of suffering you but Nicodemus through is unrealistic, and none of those things ever happen to people", I'm sure I'm going to put the best spin on it possible. You know, with the lack of intonation in typing and all.
*sighs* Umm. Anyway.
Jacob is perfectly lickable *cough* i mean, likeable. He has demanded (DEMANDED! i say!) more tme in the comic. He was just going to be a mention, a picture on Nicodemus's dresser, and he said.."I am the SHINEY! Bow down!" And i said, "wait a minute..." and then the chapter happened.
And Glory? I thought for sure Jena had posted the picture, but i guess she never did. It was prolly one i was supposed to color, and forgot. Or, both out computers crashed, and we cried. That's happened too. Glory...was Nicodemus's last girlfriend, right before Jacob, and she moved to California (where all good things go to die). She's the reason his hair is dyed, becasue she wanted to try it out, and Nicodemus said he let her try on his head. There is one (only one, mind you) picture of him with the blond streaks that she put in, and didn't let her dye over them, cause he thought they were cute. He dyed them purple and blue right before she left, in a "let's dye our hair cause our hearts are breaking" party.
And that's backstory on that. This was before Nicodemus wore black all the time (he preferred blue sweaters and jeans, or simple tee-shirts, and scarves.) and smiled more often. He's such a cutey.
